Sprockets Film Festival needed a new visual identity and, after several attempts with agencies, gave me ten days to design a new look and feel for the seven-day event for 4-16 year-olds. Borrowing from their established colour palette, I gave the brand a fresh, energetic look that would connect with boys and girls of any age, and be used across all touchpoints in upcoming years.

The Student Film Showcase is an annual tiff initiative that offers student filmmakers a theatrical audience and professional contacts in the industry. They wanted to continue with their tradition homegrown illustrated looks, but otherwise wanted fresh ideas. The Soviet Collectivist approach I used resulted in one of their most popular and collectable posters.

I’ve studied Writing for Children I & II at George Brown College and taken a number of Illustration for Children classes at OCAD and other programs. I’ve illustrated two picture books and a K-12 ESL workbook.
